A U.S. Department of Labor × ASE Education Foundation Initiative
6,000 new technicians. Four years. One national push.
Backed by the largest workforce grant the U.S. Department of Labor has ever awarded in the transportation service industry, we’re building registered apprenticeships that put people to work as auto, collision, and truck service technicians — earning while they learn.
Receive $3,500 for Every Apprentice Hired
Registered apprenticeship program sponsors can receive $3,500 for every apprentice hired – $2,500 after the apprentice has been working for 90 days, and another $1,000 when the apprentice has completed 9 months on the job.
Program Sponsors can be:
- Individual employers
- Organizations representing multiple employers such as local or state dealer associations
- Independent shop associations
- Franchise operators and more
Ready-to-Use Resources
Getting started doesn’t have to be complicated. ASE and The National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) have already developed an “Apprenticeship-in-a-Box” program that sponsors can use to launch registered apprenticeship programs more quickly.
